Theatre Hire and Facilities

The Erindale Theatre is a multi purpose space, suitable for an array of functions from large corporate seminars, community group presentations to full mounted musical & theatrical productions.
The Theatre can be hired for any number of days for whatever your needs. With which, you are provided one free in house technician to provide you with any assistance you require. On top of this, if you require more staff we are happy to provide for your needs. For a full list of staff and venue costs, please see contact Theatre Manager

The following are a list of the facilities available at the Erindale Theatre.
Note: Prices are subject to change.

Lighting and Audio Systems:
The Erindale Theatre is equipped with comprehensive in-house lighting and audio systems. We have a wide range of equipment to assist with every variety of show.

Orchestra Pit:
Erindale Theatre’s orchestra pit has been recently upgraded. It now provides an excellent acoustic design and top quality safety equipment. The pit can now also hold up to 30 musicians for even the largest of musical productions.

LCD Projector:
The LCD Projector is suitable for both video/DVD & PowerPoint. The large screen sits approximately 2 meters back from the front of the permanent stage with the projector behind. This provides the best visual display possible.

Dressing Rooms:
Erindale Theatre has very large unisex dressing rooms, ideal for big productions or dance groups.

Tarquet:
Often used in ballet, the Tarquet provides a soft but firm and well gripped ground for dances.

Fly Tower: (must be staffed by an Erindale Theatre employee)
The Erindale Theatre is one of only three theatres in the Canberra region that boasts a fully operational fly tower system, making for the most professional set changes. The fly tower has 22 bars. Permanent flys in the tower include:

Box Office and Bar:
The Box Office is available for tickets to be sold just prior to a show. The Erindale Theatre Bar is equipped with display fridges, urns and a dishwasher and is run by the organizers of the event or, if desired, by the theatre.

Workshop:
The workshop is located at the back of the theatre at the loading dock. It is often used as a storage area for props or as a warm-up area for performers. Please note that the Workshop is used as a training facility and is not always available. Prior arrangement must be made for use of this facility.
